Program Banner Summer Reading: Early Literacy

Jun 01 - Aug 19
Preregistration begins May 01.

Libraries rock! Come get in the groove this summer at the Lexington County Public Library and discover books that can help you find a new beat. Challenge yourself to try new things and see what your library has to offer this summer.

Children and teens can score some jam up treats from Chipotle, Bojangles' and Chick-fil-A, as well as a book, Summer Reading medal and ticket to a Lexington County Blowfish Baseball game. Tracking time is easy and online. Simply log the number of minutes you spend reading and you'll be notified when it's time to pick up your prize at the library.

Summer Reading isn’t just for kids. Adult participants who log their reading are entered to win weekly prizes at their local branch.

Logging forms are available at the library to record minutes or titles of books you read this summer.

As you make plans this summer, don’t forget to stop by the library each week for exciting activities for all ages. Our programs are designed to help grow your mind and body from author talks to programs about food and yoga.
